Janice Benecke – a true survivor

Meet Janice Benecke, PinkDrive KZN Administrator, a true survivor. She has personally won the battle against cancer twice, first beating germ cell cancer and lung cancer after being diagnosed in 1994, and then recovering from breast cancer after a 2008 diagnosis.

Remarkably she also found the strength to care for her husband who passed away from bone marrow cancer a few years ago, while she was undergoing treatment for breast cancer.

Despite all of the challenges she has faced Janice managed to keep on fighting this dreaded disease with the support of her family and friends.

This incredible woman is still with us today, and is now using her experience to help women from all walks of life to receive the much-needed medical treatment that can help save their lives too.

Get down to Greyville this evening – the first race is off at 17h30.
