National Colour's
good second
Sean Tarry's grey mare National Colour was a gallant second in Friday's Group 1 Coolmore Nunthorpe Sprint at Newmarket, England. She led for most of the way under Kevin Shea and was only grabbed over the last 100m by the seasoned Group performer, Borderlescot, ridden by Phil Cosgrave. Tarry said: "We were very pleased with the run and have no excuses. There was a tailwind, they broke the course record by about two seconds. She came under a little pressure in the last bit, but stayed on strongly, we will go next for the Prix D'l Abbey Sprint on Arc De Triomphe Day at Longchamp.''
