Gr2 win for Nysaean relative
Sunday’s Gr2 Grand Prix de Deauville winner Irish Wells is very closely related to Arc-En-Ciel’s young sire, Nysaean. The latter is by Sadler’s Wells and Irish Wells is by a son of Sadler’s Wells (Poliglote). Both Irish Wells and Nysaean are descendants of the Armistice mare Arme D’or. Irish Wells defeated former Italian Derby winner Groom Tesse (Groom Dancer) to win the 2500m race, with the high-class, and race favourite, Bellamy Cay (Kris) well beaten in 4th place. Irish Wells has won his last 2 races and is a half-brother to Gr3 winner Sign of the Wolf (Loup Solitaire).
