RACING

TIGER DANCE (Storm Cat - Mariah’s Storm by Rahy) is delighting handlers and breeders alike by covering well at Lion River. His fertility has always been very good but he did have past difficulties, taking time to cover. His connections flew in specialist Michael Peace of Think Equus who spent a week with TIGER DANCE
earlier in the season helping the horse conquer his problem with great success. Breeder after breeder is reporting routine coverings or coverings taking only a short time.

Meanwhile, young stock on the ground continues to impress. Amongst the testimonials are:
Mike Barnard, Daytona Stud:
“smashing filly - one of the best yearlings on the farm”
David Hepburn Brown, Hemel ‘n Aarde Stud, where there are three Tiger Dance yearlings
“horses with a lot scope”
Pat Schafer, Collingwood Stud
“very well boned - well grown horses with nice temperaments”
Nina Robertson, Milkwood Stud

“lovely big strapping colt - very nice indeed”
TIGER DANCE’s connections appreciate those comments and are always pleased to welcome viewers at the Tulbagh stud. Some construction is still going on but all the key buildings were in place earlier and the farm is coming along nicely under the day to day management of Mandy Velthuysen.
Full brother to
Giant’s Causeway, sire of 16 Group 1 winners and 7 Group 2 winners, and to Freud, Roar of the Tiger and Tumblebrutus all siring winners, TIGER DANCE should not be missed as an incredibly exciting stallion prospect in South Africa.

The Full Brother Factor at Oaklands
As Tiger Dance is to Giants' Causeway , so Fairy King was to Sadler's Wells. Full brothers and world top stallions - well - three of them so far - but a R 130,000 share (Tiger Dance) in any of those other three would have produced thousands of percent in profits.
Tiger Dance is not the only evidence of this to be found at Oaklands. And there could be a deal.
Second Empire by Fairy King was bred by the brilliantly successful Kilcarn Stud out of a black type Ela Mana Mou daughter of the fabulous mare Welsh Flame. The purchase of this member of the close family of Salsabil and Marju by Oaklands was considered in both Ireland and Australia to be a coup – and global results in 2007 to date seem to be bearing that out.
Second Empire himself was a Gr1 and Gr3 winner at 2 in France and went on to win a further Gr3 and to placed three times at Gr.1 level including in a classic and at Royal Ascot. Truly a top class racehorse with a royal pedigree.
His son Benedetti tuned up for the season in Australia by winning twice at the 07 Dubai Carnival and has recently run his first race back home (9th June), finishing 3rd in the Gr.1 A$1,000,000 AAMI Stradbroke at Eagle Farm. Success in Dubai and Australia can add up to some pretty solid yearling sales, and Australian interest in Second Empire had already been perked up by Benedetti winning at Sandown in January this year before departing for Dubai.
Hong Kong success registers strongly on Aussie radar as well, with Second Empire’s colt Plastic Polymer having been 2nd in a Gr1 Down Under now winning the Centenary Vase (Listed) at Sha Tin.
Meanwhile in England, Beckermet, already a Listed winner and multiple stakes placed performer, added a 2nd in the John of Gaunt Stakes at Haydock in early season efforts.
All these are 2007 results and there is time yet to add more before and during the South Africa breeding season.
Second Empire stands at a fee of R25,000 which Allan Bloodlines would be pleased to debate – just a little – especially in combination with a share in or nomination to Tiger Dance.
Another full brother factor: Tiger Dance’s other full brother Freud (winner and Royal Ascot Gr2 2nd) has just sired a Gr1 2nd in the USA….
And his full sister You'resothrilling - still favourite for the 2008 One Thousand Guineas - added another Gr3 2nd to her CV at Royal Ascot on Friday 22nd.

TIGER DANCE’S Full Sister Shows Impeccable Timing
excellent debut coincides with share offer in the stallion

YOU’RESOTHRILLING, running in the colours of Coolmore associate Michael Tabor, made her racecourse debut at the deep end and upheld the honour of her full brothers GIANT’S CAUSEWAY and TIGER DANCE last weekend in Ireland. All three are by STORM CAT out of multiple stakes winning mare MARIAH’S STORM by ROBERTO.
Coinciding with the current share offer in TIGER DANCE, to stand at Oaklands Estate in the Western Cape from the impending 2007 season, the 2 year old filly was sent out on Guineas Day at The Curragh to contest a 5 furlong Listed Race against colts. Finishing 2nd in fine style to a colt that won his own debut against other winners, YOU’RESOTHRILLING made a big impression.
The UK Racing Post report sums it up: “YOU’RESOTHRILLING made a highly encouraging start to her career. She raced at the rear of the field and looked to be struggling some way from home but she stayed on strongly from over a furlong out. This experience will bring her on considerably and she looks a fine prospect, particularly when she steps up in trip”

Tiger Dance’s Super Sister Does It Again
YOU’RESOTHRILLING (Storm Cat - Mariah’s Dance) continued to fly the flag for her full brother TIGER DANCE by storming out of the dip at Newmarket to take the Gr2 Cherry Hinton Stakes for 2 year old fillies. The Moyglare Stud Stakes Gr1 is the obvious target and the filly remains ante-post favourite for next year’s Guineas. A massively valuable filly to add to Mariah’s Dance progeny list including GIANT’S CAUSEWAY and TIGER DANCE.
It’s all happening at Newmarket this week with three days of excellent racing - graced today not only by this likely future champion filly but also by IRRIDESCENCE’s first effort in England, a Gr1 2nd o the July Course, beaten only by SIMPLY PERFECT converting a soft lead - and the July Sale at which South African buyers are mixing it with the cash rich Irish and a great array of international buyers. Already fillies have been bought in Newmarket to cover in Europe Southern Hemisphere time and fly to South Africa later on, and a couple of nice fillies have a date with TIGER DANCE, as do a couple of mares from the Sibaya sale.
Documentation is on its way to confirmed shareholders now that insurance arrangements are in place at competitive rates, and some shares remain to be purchased either immediately by reservation, perhaps for confirmation at the Stallion Parade at Highlands on 28th July. Some 65 mares are already committed to TIGER DANCE through shareholders, each having two nominations, and a number of nominations sold. The ceiling on mare numbers will be 80 for a first season sire.

Gr3 win for full sister to new Oaklands sire Tiger Dance
Giant’s Causeway’s and
Tiger Dance’s full sister wins Gr3 and heads for Royal Ascot
Oaklands Estate’s new stallion Tiger Dance is not only full brother to the great racehorse and sire Giant's Causeway but is now full brother to an outstanding prospect in 2 year old Group 3 winning filly You'resothrilling.
On Monday in Ireland You'resothrilling (Storm Cat - Mariah’s Storm by Rahy) romped up in the Gr.3 Swordlestown Stud Sprint Stakes over 6 furlongs at Naas. Winning by a length with something to spare, the filly fulfilled the promise that she showed on her recent first start and is surely headed for Royal Ascot later this month with a winning chance in the Queen Mary or Albany Stakes.
Tiger Dance, a 2 year old winner for Ballydoyle and Gr.3 placed, will stand his first season at Oaklands in the forthcoming breeding season at a fee of R35,000 (10,000 Nom + 25,000 31May). Allan Bloodlines’ Cape Town office, appointed by Oaklands to syndicate part of the horse, have very recently been made shares available at R130,000 + VAT with a bonus nomination in the first year available to early purchasers. Contact should be made with Joanne Knowles on 083 399 6353 joanneknowles@allanbloodlines.com .

You’resothrilling takes the Gr.2 Cherry Hinton
