'Not going head to head with Tellytrack'

James Goodman

James Goodman – co host

The popular Winning Ways Show hosted by Paul Lafferty and James Goodman, was broadcast from its brand new studios at Greyville this week.

A real make-up artist was also present for the first time!

Paul Lafferty

The show, which had its origins a decade ago when broadcast from Clairwood, has proven a favourite amongst viewers as a result of it being closest to a straightshooting broadcast that we are ever likely to experience on South African racing television.

Later in the show, Graeme Hawkins explained how Gold Circle Television will be broadcasting live into their tote outlets throughout their local racemeetings.

“We have plenty of catching up to do. We need to make the racing broadcast more exciting and interesting. We are not going head to head with Tellytrack. But they are essentially a betting channel. We see in our branches that our punters spend more when we have our own local racing. It is still their principle passion!”

the Last time I was in an unfortunate position to actually have to be in a betting world I noticed some of the monitors were on a channel dedicated to betting world .

I don’t watch winning ways much …. I do like to pick up the contradictions form the interbet podcast to the plums of the week and 3 follow –

  3. Anver says:

In the betting shops ie Tote, one cannot hear the talk on the TV. Just stay away and rely on Hollywood and Winning Form.Just the way it is.

  6. Rajan Moodley says:

Hong Kong place accumulator was not won on 16th May , I need to understand why it is being carried forward to the July bipot. We the punters are short changed by the powers that be.
