In a press statement issued by Deez Dyanand on behalf of the Delpech family on Monday, 9 April 2018, it was confirmed that Anthony has been diagnosed with a disc herniation and a damaged spinal cord and will undergo an operation tomorrow morning.

“Whilst it’s devastating news, like a true CHAMPION he remains positive and thanks his family, friends and racing fans for their well wishes and support.”

“His wife, Candice, apologises for not responding to all the messages that they’ve received as it’s just not possible, but she assures you all that Anthony will get to read each and every message when he’ll be rehabilitating back home. Also, whilst the family are overwhelmed with the support, they kindly request some privacy during this trying time and updates will be posted by Candice when necessary. Let’s put our hands together and pray for his recovery.”

We wish Anthony the very best for tomorrow’s procedure and for a swift and full recovery.
