Redoute’s Choice stallion Time Thief, who recently celebrated his first Gr1 winner in Australia, has joined an illustrious line-up of sires as Highlands Stud part of Ridgemont hosts a stallion parade on 25 May 2018.

A ¾ brother to SA Champion Sprinter Laisserfaire, Time Thief stood his first season at stud in Australia in 2010 and relocated to South Africa in 2015. An A$2 million yearling buy, Time Thief is one of five stakes horses produced by the Gr3 Tristarc Stakes winning Procrastinate, one of the best broodmares to have graced the Australian paddocks in recent years.

Seats are filling fast for the stallion parade which takes place at 18h00 on the Friday evening of 25 May.

Highlight on the night is Highlands Stud’s exciting new sire Canford Cliffs, who makes his SA debut on the evening. A five time Gr1 winner, his notable progeny include Gr2 Alister Clark Stakes winner Cliff’s Edge and Gr3 Three Troikas Stakes vixen Fish River. Canford Cliffs will be making his South African debut.

Highlands Stud’s outstanding resident sire Dynasty is sure to be one of the star attractions on the night, with other well known sires Jackson, Oratorio, Querari, Vercingetorix  and Visionaire also set to be shown on the night.

Among the new and or young sires set to be shown are Gr1 winners Admiral Kitten, star sprinter Rafeef, and Cape Guineas star William Longsword.The latter will be joined at the show by his stable mate Coup De Grace – the only son of three-time US Champion sire Tapit at stud in South Africa.

Quasillo, a Sea The Stars half brother to prominent sire Querari, is another exciting young sire set to be show, while the Wilgerbosdrift based pair of Flower Alley and Soft Falling Rain are other popular stallions set to make an appearance.
