I love reading the comments section on first timers.

To all the trainers who participate and throw us a bone or two about their horses prospects and well being, you are stars. Thank you.

To all the trainers who do not comment, you leave me thinking whether you are selfish or whether you do not care about the people who keep you in business by spending their hard earned money on TAB for you to earn stake cheques.

I find it ironic that stables like the Tarry and Janse Van Vuuren stables have some of the biggest owners in their stable like van Niekerk and Werners who are in the highest ranks of racing and who call for openness in horseracing but they say nothing. If they can speak on Tellytrack and give comments on their runners after winning a race why can’t they give comments before the race?

  2. Vivian says:

99.9% of the comments are “will need the run: or no comment. Why bother!!!!! Disappointed Punter

    1. Editor says:

Vivian, there have been a few decent ones – this week – Yadev Singh on Monday at Flamingo Park is one that comes to mind.
But agree, it is a generally poor response
