Still Seats In Durban View Room

Lunch tickets for big race day

The KZN Breeders are once again the centre of attention at Greyville on Saturday where their black and white themed raceday is the curtain raiser to the Vodacom Durban July at the same venue a week later.

KZN Breeder Awards

The day is exclusively for horses registered with the KZN Breeders Premium Scheme and incorporates the KZN Breeders Series of eight races for a stake of R200 000 each, and the KZN Breeders Million Mile. The withdrawal of last year’s winner Matador Man has thrown the feature wide open.

All nine races are restricted to horses that qualify as KZN-breds in terms of the Gold Circle Racing and Gaming Group Thoroughbred Breeder, Stallion and Owner Premium scheme.

The meeting also comes the weekend before the KZN Yearling Sale and will give added incentive to prospective buyers to invest in KZN-bred stock.

The supporting races – all run on the polytrack – will be open to all horses country-wide whose credentials meet the criteria of ‘KZN bred’ as prescribed by the rules of the KZN Breeders premium scheme.

KZN Breeders PR Officer Candiese Marnewick tells us that there are still a few lunch tickets available in the Durban View Room at R350 / head.

Please email [email protected].

On the day, the KZN Breeders will also be running a ‘win if you lose’ competition with 25 pairs of Vodacom Durban July tickets up for grabs.

There are also plenty of other spot prizes for racegoers. So don your black and white and see you at Greyville on Saturday!
