New Generation Strydom Rides At Fairview Today

First off at 12h10

A new generation Strydom takes to the track at Fairview this afternoon when young workrider Kyle Strydom, nephew of multiple champion Piere ‘Striker’ Strydom, partners Maid So Far for his Dad Jacques in the first race at 12h10.

Kyle, whose Uncle Piere Strydom is one of the greatest jockeys ever produced in South Africa, also has his Grandfather Hekkie shouting him home. Hekkie was a former jockey turned trainer.

Kyle Strydom – rides Maid So Far in the first

Maid So Far has shown little in three starts so it is a no pressure ride. But it is good to see the family’s next generation in racing.

There are nine races on the card, with the Bipot starting in the second at 12h40.

The false rail is 4m off zero to the 1200m mark decreasing to 3m to the 800m mark, with a 3m spur.
