Bred by Mauritzfontein and Wilgerbosdrift, Miss Plumcake made it two wins from seven starts and has earned at all of her starts.

She was given a nicely balanced ride from off the pace to win the R102 000 MR 88 Handicap over the mile. This was the second leg of a Bass-Robinson double on the day after Naturalist left the maiden ranks under Aldo Domeyer to win the first.

Despite a few ups and downs along the way, Sandile has matured as a rider and has made giant strides since he rode his first winner, Kingsview, to victory on 21 December 2016 at Scottsville.
