Difficult keeping up – Muzi wins Greyville last to go one ahead again

  2. dave mollett says:

Most of us would love to see Muzi win his first title, but I just believe that Lyle Hewitson and Gavin Lerena may edge him due to their getting the plum Gauteng rides.
Surely the 13-20 about Sean Tarry for the trainers title is a gift – he’s R6 million clear at present.

  3. RG says:

Muzi travels around the country almost every day and is doing well, but his strike rate is surely too low to become the champion. I believe that Gavin Lerena & Lyle Hewitson are the most talented riders around and would also include Aldo Domeyer with those two. The veteran Anton Marcus is very much right there and seems to carefully select his rides.
    Go Gavin!!!

  4. Bob Kistnasamy says:

My money is on Anton Marcus.
Perhaps he needs to increase his travelling to ride more winners and steer clear of the chasing pack.

We are heading for an interesting jockey championship contest for 2018/2019.

  5. Mico says:

My money is on Muzi – if he was offered same amount of rides I think his strike rate would be higher
    Doesn’t only ride favorites….or ‘winner’

  6. Rudi says:

If muzi get the rides of gav. Anton. And lyle he will walk this championship. Marcus on every favorite in kzm .larena and lyle in joburg and kenmedy come and ride them asleep.

  7. Siva says:

Anton Marcus and Gavin Lerena are the most talented of this lot.Shame would of split them with Delpech

  8. Kenny says:

I agree with Molly. A jockey is as good as the quality of his rides and the strike is meaningless in this case. Unfortunately we know in racing it’s all about the support you get. Let’s hope more trainers will get behind Muzi when they have ‘good things’.

  9. gavin says:

come on muzi …hardwork will pay off….

  10. Cecil Pienaar says:

Seriously holding thumbs for Muzi this year. We don’t win much here in Dbn, but we’ll claim him. Oh yes we did have an upset Gr1 win for Robbie Hill and team. Back to the Jocks, we are blessed in SA with many talented riders.
