Don’t Miss Your Dynasty!

Look out for Crimson King at Sibaya

Ridgemont Highlands will be offering a high class draft at the 2019 KZN Yearling Sale, with the Robertson farm’s consignment including yearlings by the likes of Dynasty, Captain Of All, Coup De Grace, Jackson, Pathfork, Philanthropist, and the farm’s very exciting sire Potala Palace.

Buyers are running out of chances to buy yearlings by deceased outstanding sire Dynasty, but the former Horse Of The Year will be represented in this draft by a colt with a real stallion’s pedigree.

The legend – Dynasty

Named Crimson King (Lot 74), this classically bred fellow is out of a three time winning half-sister to Gr1 Vodacom Durban July winner Hunting Tower and Gr2 Golden Horseshoe runner up Montezuma – both of whom were sired by Dynasty’s own sire Fort Wood – and further back, this is the family of breed shaping sire Fappiano.

Tapit’s multiple graded stakes winner Coup De Grace has three in this draft –including a filly (Lot 82) out of a 3 time winning daughter of Gr1 performer Divine Duel, a filly (Lot 91) from the family of top performers Janbooi, Franny and Sweet Sanette, and a half-brother (Lot 144) to four stakes horses (including two graded stakes winners) from the family of champion sire Exclusive Native.

Exciting young sire Potala Palace (sire of this season’s graded stakes winners Palace Of Dreams and Singforafa) has three in the Ridgemont Highlands draft, with the son of Singspiel’s trio including a half-brother (Lot 56) to high class sprinter South Country, and a full-sister to G3 Pretty Polly Stakes winner Palace Of Dreams.

Chinampa (Lot 26) is a filly by champion sprinter Captain Of All and who is bred on similar lines to the likes of Victory Moon and William Longsword, while Philanthropist colt Deep In Thought (Lot 96) is out of a five time winning stakes placed half-sister to the dam of G3 Champion Juvenile Cup winner O Tamara.

Irish champion Pathfork, a half-brother to current US star War Of Will, is the sire of Sichuan (Lot 161) –a half-brother to 10 winners including promising 2yo Royal Lily, while Racey Stacey (Lot 166) is a Jackson filly from the immediate family of Australian G1 winners Caledonian Boy and Lady Of The Pines.
