Temporary Suspension For Little

First off today at 12h45

Jockey Chad Little will not be riding at Turffontein today as he is under a temporary suspension.

This arose from an incident at the Vaal on Tuesday.

Little arrived on course prior to his ride in race 4 and  was advised by the Stipendiary Stewards that he was required to provide a urine sample.

He presented himself in the medical centre at 15h30.

Following numerous unsuccessful attempts to provide a sample throughout the afternoon,  Little was permitted to leave the course at 18h00.

An investigation was opened into Little’s failure to provide a urine sample and  the Stipendiary Board decided after due deliberation and affording him the opportunity to address the Stewards, which he failed to do, to invoke the provisions of Rule 4.2.18 and to place an interim suspension on him until such time as the investigation is finalized.

Little was replaced on his engagements at the Vaal on Thursday and also for today.

There are eight races carded today at Turffontein, with the first off at 12h45.

The false rail is set at zero on the back straight and bend with a 2m spur at the 700m mark.

The laugh is on the authorities.
If no urine can be obtained, they can do saliva, blood and hair tests.
The other option is that the stewards should have prevented him from riding until the urine had been taken and tested.
Urine tests should be compulsory for all riders. Treat them all fairly.

Chad Little is a jockey with huge potential and one of the accomplished riders during his heydays.
A great tragedy that he has been involved in transgressions. He also recently returned from a lengthy suspension.
Our motive in life is to help individuals. However, Chad needs to be committed to change and follow an upward path in terms of his career and journey in life and help will be around the corner.
I sincerely hope that Chad follows in the footsteps of “The Candyman” and show us that he can bounce back.
As for the authorities, they are simply following the rules and have to act accordingly.

Come on Chad, you have what it takes!!!

aahhh……..The 150/1 double yesterday…..they are now a regular occurrence dont you think ? makes the exotics pay huge, many tickets fall away but one or two “lucky” big payouts a bit like the lottery dont you think ?…can you imagine banking 40/1 shot in your p6 ?………Its funny how Trainers don’t know their own stable on a regular basis…..which cliche shall we use ? can’t use ‘smaller field the bigger the upset” ? nope…how about “they run on grass not paper” ? mmmmm or “thats racing”……Its a pattern. I wonder how many people catch these very large doubles and trebles with 40/1 shots in the mix ? you dont need to be brave with numbers like that….I hope they do, It seems a pity to miss out on such an opportunity, I would if I knew about the outsider that seems to defy the odds but it seems the surprises just keep coming with stable companions winning as well on the day. those p6’s just keep carrying over, soon it will be empty. Fairview…..I wonder which stable will get “lucky” today…? lets see. Its funny the bookies are not very good at pricing any more or is it the MR and handicapping ? or maybe something else…? no problem here, next race in 30 minutes…..Cant wait to see the biggie, two 40/1 shots from the same stable at the same meeting with the stable jockey getting it wrong on the favoured horses, but” thats racing” ( Winning form the most positive outlooking form guide said “poor form, look elsewhere”….last week it said ” shown nothing will need to improve…….it did by 20 lengths ) ……its a pattern….I hope`I get one soon, I shall study the form and then ignore it. Are we the only ones who sees this ?……stupid conspiracy theories normally are just that when there is no pattern. the commentator this morning…..”put in his first choice but don’t leave out the 4 stable companions” ?????…….brilliant advice……5 fields and a 40/1 shot for 1%…..which trainer I wonder ?….Actually thinking about it, it wont happen now, no carryovers required…..
