‘Unimpressed By Randjesfontein’

Former jockey built Qatar Racecourse from scratch

Former jockey Bradford Smith gave up riding when his weight became a problem.

He cut his teeth in the days when Randjesfontein was still a mielie field.

He left South Africa in a changing political climate and has been Manager at Qatar Racecourse for the past twenty years.

On  a recent visit to South Africa, he was ‘horrified’ to see the state of one of our leading training centres.

He makes a few straightshooting observations in a refreshingly frank and honest interview with James Goodman on Monday’s Winning Ways Show.
