Hi Ed, In my humble view, Northern Cape racing is least preferred by Phumelela (in comparison to Eastern Cape racing). Three race meetings in 8 days and allocation of month end meetings to Fairview was a recipe for racing destruction in the “Diamond City”. Perhaps some research should be undertaken to compare national tote turnovers in both centres when racing was scheduled on a Saturday at both Centres.
It would be unfair to compare Monday meetings as the preferred venue on a month end is Fairview.
Racing in Kimberley is doomed because of poor decisions, unless something drastically is done.
It confounds me how the racing fraternity in the Northern Cape is expected to survive with the crumbs that are thrown at them.
