Two Jackpots Start Today

Races 4-7 and 5-8

TAB will operate a second Jackpot pool on one South African race meeting daily from today’s race meeting at Fairview.

The second Jackpot will start on the race after the first leg of the normal Jackpot at race meetings comprising eight or nine races.

So, at an eight-race meeting, Jackpot ONE will be on races 4 to 7 as normal and Jackpot TWO on races 5 to 8.

In the case of a nine-race meeting, Jackpot ONE will be on races 5 to 8 and Jackpot TWO on races 6 to 9.

TAB customers must note that in order to play Jackpot TWO in Phumelela regions they must mark venue oval number 9 and the first-leg race number of Jackpot TWO.

TABGOLD customers in KwaZulu-Natal totes must mark the SPQ oval.

This is in order to ensure that will pays for both Jackpot pools on a meeting can be displayed correctly.

So, in the case of Jackpot TWO at Fairview today, mark venue oval 9 (not E CAPE) and Race 5 to bet.

If there are two South African meetings on a day, Jackpot TWO will be offered on the race meeting likely to attract the biggest pool.

O M Goodness, why dont we have 2 pick sixes or for that matter why stop at 2 Jackpots , why not 3 ,4,5, OR EVEN MORE
Why are these ID–TS allowed to carry on
Lets have one pick 6 with couplings and the other without please ,please

Hear, hear. In the days when couplings counted it was more exciting, the horse you picked might not win and you’d be disappointed but then you realized it was coupled to the winning horse and you were happy. If there were a few couplings in a race it would bring the cost of your perm down and you would feel you had a winning chance. Most times these days it works out too expensive to take a P6 and jackpot so I don’t bother. Having two jackpots or P6’s with overlapping races you can lose twice, seems pointless to me.

When does Jackpot 2 start on Met Day? Race 6 or Race 7? Considering there are 10 races on the day

    1. Editor says:

      Race 9 : Jackpot TWO Leg 1 – likely pool R500,000
