De Melo & Kannemeyer On Fire

Hollywoodbets Greyville Pick 6 pays R8912

A winner at Kenilworth on Wednesday and a treble at Hollywoodbets Greyville on Friday evening.

Dean Kannemeyer is pleased with his form and with the manner in which his new assistant Nicolette Roscoe has made the transition into his management structure.

It helps when everything’s running smoothly and even Kannemeyer stable jockey Keagan de Melo enjoyed a great evening at the office with four nice winners.

Nicolette Roscoe, who started out with Johnny Dawson, spent over 20 years with Alistair Gordon and with the veteran calling it a day, she has slotted in seamlessly into the powerful Kannemeyer operation at Summerveld.

Their first winner was the Millstream Farm bred Vercingetorix gelding Mount Anderson, who shed his maiden at his third start.

The Captain Of All progeny are flying and Lundy’s Lad was another to shed his maiden after four places when winning the 1400m Jackpot opener easily. He is raced in partnership by Kannemeyer and Kenilworth Racing Co-Chair, Robert Bloomberg.

Willempie Engelbrecht Jnr bred and owns the Trippi colt Williams Land who tried the 1700m for the first time and sailed through his field from last in the home straight to win going away.

The Hollywoodbets December Pick 6 promotion saw a minimum pool of R1,1 million guaranteed with a handy 10% top-up if the bet was taken on course.

With Kannemeyer’s three winners, it paid a handy R8 912-20.

      How’s the weather, Cecil?
There is word of seven days of rain from Sunday in your territory
Will it impact on the meeting?

    Hi Mr Ed.

2nd hot day in a row. Prediction tomorrow is 23° by midday. 70% chance rain by 3pm.

Meeting will get underway, later races around the bend could be affected. We get so few meetings, hoping it goes ahead.

    By far my fav track👍

    Morning Mr Ed

You’re an early bird and on the ball.

My only concern, criticism of my beloved home track is – for some reason drainage not what it was before.

I have read the other article for today. Have to say again, Hollywoodbets is doing wonders here in KZN with their iniatives.

Difficult card, lots of runners and me thinks even PA will pay well.

Note Eric Ngwane is back, Bling is here.

Good Luck all and Big Thx as always to SP for all the articles and updates👍

      Cheers Cecil

  4. Ramesh says:

May the good winning streak continues. All the best to trainer and jockey
