Jackpot Quickmix – TAB Apology

Official payout was correct

The payout of R759- 40 for Jackpot Quickmix Two on Sunday 19 January 2020 was correct, but the incorrect net pool was displayed.

TAB apologises for the confusion and consternation this caused to TAB and TABGold customers.

The error arose from a R11,178 carryover from Jackpot Quickmix One on Sunday 19 January 2020, which was removed and added to TAB’s Jackpot carryover reserve in terms of TAB’s carryover policy.

The system, however, added this carryover to the Jackpot Quickmix Two net pool for display purposes.

It was mistakenly not deleted with the result that the final net pool displayed was R32,545 and not R21,367-20 as should have been the case.

The system did not take the carryover into account in calculating the dividend and the official payout of R759-40 to 28.136 winning tickets was correct as displayed.

So they must have had the incorrect pool on Saturday 18/01/2020 for Kranji Jackpot.
    Jackpot 6-9

    2nd : 7
    3rd : 4
    4th : 4

Wonder if any action taken due to misleading punters. The jackpot Quick mix is closing on carded time no matter if the 1st leg is delayed by 30 minutes. This happened too many times last week despite me taking this up with Gold Circle. Hence the pools were dismal. The biggest pool is normally 90k but was only 27 k last week. If you can adjust the cut off time for other delayed exotics why not the quick mix.

Like to know .When a hotpot favourite lose a race .why don’t they interview the jockey an trainer an fine out what happened to the horse .so the punters know.we like to see the guilty faces. Thanks prakash

Shanil if you check the off times for most Quickmix Jackpots there is usually about 10-20 minutes between the different Legs.
So if the 1st leg is delayed by 30 minutes,
the 2nd or 3rd legs may have been run and official results known before the 1st leg is off and running.
Would be great if Quickmix betting was open until the delayed 1st leg is run and you know the results of 2nd,3rd and 4th legs

  6. Shanil says:

Thanks Pops for your response. Yes it’s common logic that the second leg of the quick mix can be run before the 1st if there’s delays. What should happen in that case is that the cut off should be at the START of the second leg if the 1st leg is delayed. This used to happen until recently. As a regular Quickmix player it’s dissapointing to see the size of the pools when it’s cut off early. If racing is crying out for more revenue then Some one needs to take responsibility for this.
