Moore Considers Future

Boutique set-up likely in Australia

Multiple champion trainer John Moore, the elder statesman of the Hong Kong training division, is facing an unknown future after he will be forced to retire at the end of the current Hong Kong season.

Having earned more than any other trainer in Hong Kong history, it beggars belief that a Club-stipulated age limit will bring the curtain down on his magnificent career, one which seems to still have so much to give.

Boasting Gr1 wins in Hong Kong, Singapore and Dubai, Moore is keen to add an elite Australian race to his CV, something jockey Hugh Bowman believes he is more than capable of achieving.

According to scmp.com, Bowman commented of the expat Australian in charge of Beauty Generation, “He has an amazing record here and he still has a lot to offer so I would be surprised if he didn’t go back… I could see is him setting up a really successful boutique stable, he certainly has the knowledge, commitment and the connections to do that. He is very particular with how he manages his horses, he has been a pleasure to ride for over the years and I hope it continues in Australia.”
