Frankie Zackey…There were talks about a poly track for the inside track at the Big T,, any idea to why nothing has come of that as yet Phumelela ? while we at it they should be contemplating on a poly track out at the Vaa..Oh how I miss Gosforth Park and Newmaket,,That was 1 Gigantic mistake by selling off the 2 best racecourse in SA,,there was just something so special about both racecourses that i haven’t experienced since the closure of both racecourses,,it was just a unbelievable buzz when racing was there

Agree wholeheartedly with Frankie . The so called brains trust in this industry have destroyed the industry and lined their pockets in the process !! I wouldn’t employ one of them except to dig holes in hard ground . Hollywood and Gold Circle are showing what can be done when you are proactive .

  3. Shanil says:

Might as well transfer the Kimberley track. Poly results are not punter friendly. Would like to know what percentage of cancelled meetings due to inclement weather .

  4. Brian says:

    100% guys

  5. Avril L says:

The call to abandon came very late. Why was no attempt made to move the meeting to Turffontein. Johannesburg was bathed in 25deg sunshine with no chance of rain. No thought is given to the owners, trainers, jockeys and other role players who suffer financial losses at the end of the day.

    1. Editor says:

      Hi Avril

      Hundred percent.

That’s bizarre – why are the owner, trainer , jockey representatives not asking for answers of the decision makers?
      Punters studied form, too
