An eight-race programme kicks off in the Mother City at Durbanville today.
The first race on the card starts at 13h10 and the lucky last will close off proceedings at 17h15.
The Justin Snaith stable send out Really Royal who competes in Race 7.
This promising daughter of Captain Al made an eye-catching debut up the straight at Kenilworth.
Bobby Bean writes that she was ridden to perfection that day and the way she finished off her race was really encouraging. It must be noted that the form of that race has been franked. She tries the bend for the first time this afternoon, but she will get all the necessary assistance from stable jockey Richard Fourie and should take a power of beating.
The Billy Prestage camp send out Jean’s Man who participates in Race 8. The son of Jay Peg found a form return in his last outing over this c&d when displaying plenty of pace.
He finished runner-up behind Rio Querari that day and faces a considerably weaker field this afternoon. He will benefit from a 4kgs apprentice allowance once again, he has shown a preference for racing at Durbanville and may be difficult to peg back in the closing stages of this contest.
The false rail is set at 3m on back straight and bend, with a 4m cut-off at the 550m.
