It’s Time To Seek Your Star – Sunday D-Day!

CTS Ready To Run & Mixed Sale is live online

A powerful sire index will again be the pillar of strength at this coming Sunday’s 2020 CTS Ready To Run and Mixed Sale, which went live on the gavelhouse.com website on Monday.

Bidding opened on Wednesday – but please click on the Gavelhouse image below to have a look at the video clips and pics

Two Dynasty colts are on offer, and the likes of Gimmethegreenlight, Captain Of All, Duke Of Marmalade, Futura, Master Of My Fate, Pomodoro, Querari, Vercingetorix, VAR, What A Winter, Trippi and Twice Over are well represented.

De Grendel CTS Ready To Run Cup winning trainer Vaughan Marshall will be seeking that next star

The sale will be staged for the first time online, in conjunction with gavelhouse.com, who displayed their efficiency and technical know-how in clear terms, with their handling of the Klawervlei Farm Sale earlier this year.

Haylie Martin, General Manager of gavelhouse.com, commented:

“After the staggering success of the Klawervlei auction back in July, we are looking forward to partnering with the Cape Thoroughbred Sales team and their vendors. We have been running online auctions for over four-and-a-half-years now, and pride ourselves on the user-friendly system we have developed.Just last month we broke the online auction record price with the sale of Spanish Whisper for AUD$1,202,500, showing just how widely accepted this method of trading is these days.”

Grant Knowles, Marketing and Bloodstock Director of CTS, said:

“After showing what online thoroughbred auctions can achieve with its ease of access, to-the-second bidding, and a new dimension of spirited online rivalry, we have vendors and buyers behind us for this year’s renewal of the sale.”

Knowles noted:

“The vendors’ levy of R3,000 and the buyers’ levy of R5,000 – for all horses sold – will be going towards the stake money for the 2021 Ready To Run Stakes, for which we ultimately expect a prize of in excess of R1-million.”

The long, illustrious list of CTS R2R graduates includes the likes of Gr1 winners Captain America, Red Ray, Rabada, Brave Mary, Hero’s Honour, Takingthepeace, Always In Charge, Brutal Force, Liege, French Navy, and the recent Gr1 Kennedy Cantala winner at Flemington, Surcharge (Yulong Prince).

Big names among the list of graded stakes winners include Fort Ember, High Seas Beauty, Crowd Pleaser, Africa Rising, The Thinker, Majestic Mambo, Search Party, Ten Gun Salute and Champagne Haze.

Amanda Carey, Sales Director of CTS, commented:

“Buyers card applications have opened and we encourage buyers not to delay in sending applications through to us, to ensure that they receive their login details timeously.”

She asked that prospective buyers please register through Cape Thoroughbred Sales directly.
