TAB Apologises

An unprecedented software glitch generated an incorrect payout for Jackpot Quickmix 2 on 11 November.

In a media release issued on 21 November, TAB state that corrective action has been taken to prevent a recurrence.

The payout should have been R3 694.

TAB accountholder balances will be automatically adjusted, while affected retail customers are requested to lodge a claim in the normal way or contact TAB Customer Care on 0861 444 822.

TAB apologises to customers for any inconvenience arising from the glitch.

Ed  – thanks to those readers that raised the issue of the paltry R11-40 dividend. Their persistence and patience has been rewarded!

I wonder how many “unprecedented software glitches” have gone undetected over the years? The tote can only blame themselves for the absolute lack of trust in the integrity of all payouts. I will not support the tote until all theae glitchea are remedied.

That Tote….no problems then, except for the smoke…..

  3. Adrian Bothma says:

What punters don’t know is that all the blame should be laid at the door of the national gambling board and the provincial gambling boards. They are supposed to protect punters and hold the tote accountable for these glitches which should never happen. The problem is that these gambling boards are full of clueless individuals that have no initiative and do not care. Do yourself a favour and watch a live stream of the gauteng gambling hoard applications and amendments. Its a dog show.

I sent a few emails to Customer Service. They replied that the AUDITORS looked into it and could not find any fault.I even asked for the auditors call numbers or email address without any given.
