Kenilworth Racecourse

There are few destinations on earth that match the Cape in summer. Beautiful beaches, magnificent mountains, the allure of the winelands – and eight weeks of top drawer horseracing make it a heaven on earth for anybody who has ever loved racing – and having a good time.

Kenilworth Racing are sitting on a veritable goldmine in the shadow of the mountain at our most scenic racetrack.

But the marketing and branding of South Africa’s unquestionably greatest season of horseracing has hardly done justice to the quality of horse that will grace the Kenilworth track during December and January to compete in seven of South Africa’s greatest Gr1 races, culminating in the R5 million Sun Met on 27 January.

Maybe the attitude is –  these stars market themselves and let’s leave it to the sponsors?
