The Future…Again!

Supreme Vision colt

Drakenstein Stud recently welcomed a three-parts brother to multiple award-winning SA Horse Of The Year, Do It Again.

Born on 16 August, the tough looking colt is by four-time Gr1 winning sire Twice Over (Observatory) out of the twice-winning Visionaire daughter, Supreme Vision. The latter is out of the six-time winner Sweet Virginia (Casey Tibbs) – dam of dual Durban July winner Do It Again.

A winner of the 2005 Gr3 Final Fling Stakes, and the only female to win the male dominated Gr3 Winter Classic and Gr3 Winter Derby, Sweet Virginia hails from the family of Gr1 winners Smart As Paint and Mill Hill.

Her son Do It Again, who claimed four awards, including the title of South Africa’s Horse Of The Year, at the recent Equus Awards, has dominated local awards ceremonies in 2019.

South Africa’s Equus Champion 3YO Colt/Gelding in 2017/18, the Northfields Stud-bred champion also picked up the award for both Cape Breeders and Cape Racing’s Horse Of The Year for 2018/19 and was recently crowned KZN’s Horse Of The Season.

The Justin Snaith-trained Do It Again boasts earnings of in excess of R8,4 million, with his seven wins including four Gr1 triumphs.
