Vercingetorix Service Up For Grabs

A last chance for this season

The Vercingetorix syndicate will be selling a service to the sensational Vercingetorix, following the sale of the last lot on the first day of the August Two Year Old Sale on 26 August.

The sale will take place at the TBA complex in Germiston.

This sale will be the last chance to acquire a service to the very popular Vercingetorix, as the latter’s book is full for the 2022 breeding season.

A champion son of six times South African champion sire Silvano, the Maine Chance Farm based Vercingetorix enjoyed a tremendous season in the recently concluded 2021-2022 racing season.

He finished runner-up on the General Sires List (behind Silvano), and was also crowned South Africa’s Leading Sire of 3YO’s for 2021-2022.

Vercingetorix was responsible for 87 winners during the past season, with his 14 individual stakes winners (who won 21 black type races between them in 2021-2022) headed by such Gr1 winners as Alesian Chief, Astrix, Chansonette and Pomp And Power.

In total, the progeny of Vercingetorix earned in excess of R16,425 million during the past season.

A Gr1 winner in both South Africa and Dubai, Vercingetorix has also enjoyed considerable sales ring success over the past few months. His offspring fetched up to R3 000 000 at the 2022 National Yearling Sale, and his yearlings averaged an impressive R617 976 at the National Sale this year.
