Trainer Tara Laing saddles Crafty Heart in Race 3. She has good consistent form lines to her credit. She has won once and finished third three times from as many starts over this course and distance.

She is likely to be settled near the rear of the field from her wide draw of ten and will be mowing down the frontrunners. She meets the right field and can notch up her third career victory.

Notorix from the Juan Nel stable may be the horse to close off the meeting. He has shown good signs of a form return in his last two starts.

He raced from a handy position last time, fought hard but found one too good in the form of Soweto Rose. He drops back to the 1000m and with Wayne Agrella retaining the ride, he can go one better.
