Fourie May Give Oliver Twist Some More Today

First due off @ 12h30

An eight-race programme has been carded for the Fairview polytrack this afternoon.

Don’t forget to take the free-to-play Hollywoodbets Punters’ Challenge on this racemeeting with the first due off at 12h30.

Selections must be in at least 5 minutes before the first is off.

Look out for Richard Fourie and Oliver Twist in Race 2 (Pic – Chase Liebenberg)

Hollywoodbets-sponsored Trainer Gavin Smith sends out Oliver Twist in Race 2. He is lightly raced with good form lines to his credit.

He set the pace over this course and distance last time before getting outrun late by Karoo Gold. The son of Ideal World is a progressive type.

He meets the right field and with Richard Fourie on board, he can go one better.

Thunder Master from the Jacques Strydom stable takes his place in Race 7.

He showed some signs of a form return in his last start over 1300m on this course.

He jumped awkwardly when leaving the starting stalls but stayed on at the finish. Two of his four career victories have come over this distance.

The 6yo gelding will strip a much fitter horse today and if jumping on terms, he may be the one to beat.
