Grant The Jock To Follow

First race off @ 12h30

Racing takes place at Kenilworth Racecourse this afternoon and eight races are carded.

Grant van Niekerk has a full book of rides with a couple of decent winning chances.

He may be the jockey worth following and the first is due off at 12h30.

Justin Snaith saddles Royal Aussie in Race 2 and he is the best bet on the programme.

He has finished second in both his career efforts to date. He showed good pace over 1200m last time, fought hard but found one too good in the form of Port Louis who has come out and finished second since.

The son of Royal Mo will be at home over 1400m. He does have a wide barrier position to overcome, but gets the services of Grant van Niekerk who will give him all the necessary assistance from the saddle.

Ragnar Lothbrok from the Piet Botha yard takes his place in Race 5.

He showed good signs of a form return in his last start over 1100m on this course.

The manner in which he stayed on at the finish that day was encouraging.

He meets a similar type of field today and if confirming his recent improvement, he can return to winning ways.
