Hollywoodbets Durbanville Goes Ahead

First is off at 12h00

With beautiful sunny skies prevailing over the Cape, Racing Executive Justin Vermaak has confirmed that Saturday’s Hollywoodbets Durbanville racemeeting is all systems go.

It is not often that  Work Riders events are held around the turn in the Cape and the racemeeting kicks off with a 1000m maiden contest at 12h00.

The in-form Piet Botha yard can get the day off to a good start with Gavin Zurnamer’s Fencing Captain who gets the services of Mzwandile Mjokwa and jumps from a favourable two draw.

The son of Captain Of All has shown good improvement in his last two starts. He showed good speed over Saturday’s track and trip last week Friday before tiring late.

Please note that Richard Fourie (family responsibility) and Denis Schwarz (riding at Turffontein) will not be taking up their engagements on Saturday in the Cape.

Please note that in view of the upside down programme and weather in recent weeks, there are a number of scratchings on the card.

Please note the new race times:

  • Race 1 – 12:00
  • Race 2 – 12:35
  • Race 3 – 13:10
  • Race 4 – 13:45
  • Race 5 – 14:20
  • Race 6 – 14:55
  • Race 7 – 15:30
  • Race 8 – 16:10
  • Race 9 – 16:45
