Following further rainfall, bringing the previous 24 hour total to 40mm, and previous 7 days total to 215mm, a decision has been taken to postpone the Hollywoodbets Kenilworth race meeting scheduled for Tuesday 20 June to Thursday 22 June 2023.
The photographs accompanying this editorial were kindly supplied by Shane Humby Racing and show the devastation at the Milnerton Training Centre, which is on the other side of the Cape Peninsula, and historically gets less rain that Kenilworth!
The Western Cape has seen unprecedented rainfall for the month of June.
Annual Average for the month of June is 129mm, but Hollywoodbets Kenilworth has recorded 386mm since 1 June 2023.
