Final Fairview Meet Of Season Today

Listed Champion Juvenile Cup is the feature

The last meeting of the season in the Eastern Cape takes place on the turf track at Fairview Racecourse and nine races are carded. The main event of the day is the Listed Champion Juvenile Cup over 1400m.

It is an early start to the day with the first due off at 11h30.

Trainer Sharon Kotzen saddles Éclair in Race 3 and she is the best bet on the programme. She has produced two good runs to date. She found betting support when finishing third in her last start over 1300m on the polytrack.

The daughter of Flower Alley may be better suited to the turf and she will enjoy the extra distance on offer. She meets the right line-up today and should take a power of beating.

Keepingthepeace from the Alan Greeff yard takes her place in Race 8. She ran a decent race when fifth in her stable debut over 1000m on the polytrack. The manner in which she finished off her race that day was eye-catching.

The daughter of Visionaire would have come on from the run and will
enjoy the step up to 1400m. Xolani Ndlovu retains the ride and she may be the one to side with.

  • The Bipot starts in the second race at 12h00
  • The Place Accumulator starts in the third race at 12h30
  • The Pick 6 starts in the fourth race at 13h00
  • The first Jackpot starts in the fifth race at 13h40
  • The second Jackpot starts in the sixth race at 14h20
Please note that jockey K Steyn will not be riding today.
