Groovy Jockey Strike Today

First race off at 12h40

Hollywoodbets Scottsville plays host to an eight-race programme this afternoon.

The Hollywoodbets Punters Challenge gives you another chance to win for free.

The first is due off at 12h40.

Feeling Groovy from the Glen Kotzen stable takes her place in Race 5 and she is the best bet on the programme. She set the pace over 1600m on this course last time, but was caught in the shadow of the post by Umvoti.

She finished second in her penultimate run over this course and distance. The
daughter of Canford Cliffs meets the right field this afternoon and top jockey Richard Fourie may be able to coax that little bit extra out of her where it matters most.

Watch the replay of Feeling Groovy’s last run:

Trainer Carl Hewitson saddles Sea Master in Race 6. He lost two lengths leaving the starting stalls last time, but finished his race off strongly when second to Running Rifles.

It must be noted that the horse that finished third that day has come out and won since. If jumping on terms, he may be rewarded for consistency.

  • The Place Accumulator starts in the second race at 13h15
  • The Pick 6 starts in the third race at 13h50
