Irish Tractor To Plough Them Today

Early start at 11h50

A nine-race programme is set for the Vaal Racecourse this afternoon. It is an early start to the day with the first due off at 11h50 and the lucky last set for 16h15.

Trainer Brett Crawford saddles Irish Tractor in Race 7. He ran on nicely when finishing third over 1450m on the Classic course last time.

He should have finished closer to the winner that day as he was cramped for galloping room in the latter stages.

He is unbeaten from two starts over this distance and with a bit of luck in running, can keep that record intact.

Bella Rosa from the Stuart Pettigrew yard represents decent each way value in Race 5.

She finished 0.85 lengths behind Devilish Dancer last time. She is 1.5kgs better off at the weights today and that should be enough for the tables to be turned.

She has won once, finished second once and third three times from ten starts over this distance.

The 5yo mare will be mowing down the frontrunners at the business end.

Ryan Munger is not riding today.
