4Racing Launch New Betting Channels

Discussions ongoing to include KZN racing

4RacingTV will this week launch two brand new betting channels providing punters all the essential race and bookmakers tote betting info and non-stop live local and international races at the tip of their fingers.

The Global Racing 1 and Global Racing 2 channels will launch on Wednesday 19 January 2022, catering for the horseracing retail and digital bookmaker and for all racing customers, from seasoned professional punters to beginners.

They will be available direct to the punter on all 4RacingTV digital platforms and mobile applications supporting iOS and Android smart devices, allowing punters to access the content wherever they may be.

For our authorised bookmakers and TAB stores, the channels will be distributed encrypted over satellite, with encryption before month end.

An exciting feature for local trainers, jockeys, owners, punters and fans is that they will be able to record and archive every single one of their races from any 4Racing venue countrywide and create their own playlists for replay and post-race analysis.

Your favourite races and content will be shareable on Facebook and Twitter and downloadable to your smart phones.

Both channels will have live racing from around the world, including racing from Highveld Racing’s Turffontein and Vaal Racecourses, Cape Racing’s Kenilworth and Durbanville Racecourses, as well as Nelson Mandela Bay Racing’s Fairview Racecourse. There will also be two-minute tipping previews shown in between all local 4Racing races from some of the country’s top tipsters and racing experts.

Discussions are ongoing to include KwaZulu Natal’s racing.

The channels will also feature top live international racing from Australia, Asia’s Hong Kong, Dubai and Singapore, Europe’s United Kingdom, Ireland, Sweden and France, the United States and Canada and from Mauritius, Kenya and Zimbabwe, with new international racing currently being explored.

Punters will have access to a live race every 10-15 minutes starting at 04h00 and ending at midnight every day, with info and tips given by various local and international correspondents on the line and previews and interviews from the course.

Global Racing 1 and Global Racing 2 will provide all the tote betting info required on screen, accompanied by a state of the art graphics system giving punters all the essential info they need to place their bets.

“Global Racing 1 and Global Racing 2 has been specifically programmed to meet the requirements and expectations of our punters. The curation team, now led by experienced industry veteran Dominic Zaki, have engaged and researched what our local punters want, whether engaging with the content in bookmakers retail stores, our tab stores and/or via our respective digital platforms. The channels have been expanded to accommodate more content from our international racing partners and of course our local content,” says Stephen Watson, head of 4Racing.TV.

“We will ensure this is supported by all the key Computaform and betting data, tips and expert opinion, whilst covering all the on screen elements that inform our punters betting decisions. Our new graphics technology stack will play a key role in bringing this to life. We commit to polishing and refining the channels continuously and evolving them to meet the growing needs of established and new punters and of course our valued bookmaker partners. Feedback channels and further engagements with channel users will contribute significantly to this and we look forward to working with everyone to rebuild this incredible sport and its products,” added Watson.

The channels will be available to retail via the existing distribution to set-top boxes and via digital integrations with bookmaker partners.

Direct access to consumers will be supported by a dedicated 4Racing OTT offering, supporting all major web browsers and Smart Phones and Tablets, with Smart TV applications launching later in the year.

Coverage will kick off early morning starting with harness and flat racing from Australia, followed by late morning/midday race meetings from Hong Kong, Zimbabwe and Singapore.

From midday to early afternoon every local race meeting taking place at all 4Racing venues will be available, as well as racing in Mauritius, Sweden or Kenya.
