Official public voting opens on 8 August

equus - stars vie-for-position-imgThe SA Horse Of The Year title for the 2021/22 season is set to go right down to the wire.

The last time the title was shared was between two star fillies (both greys) in Ilha da Vitoria and National Colour some 17 years ago.

For the first time, Joe Public gets a vote and a say in the proceedings. Voting opens on Monday 8 August.

    Jet Darks best performance undoubtedly in the July. Only his class and bravery and a great training feat let him stay a distance beyond his best. But Captain’s Ransom also proved how tough she is by winning the S A Fillies Sprint and again on Gold Cup day. She probably shouldn’t have been in the July day race so soon? Dead heat decision to me. Let them both be remembered for this title
