Senior jockeys Billy Jacobson and Muzi Yeni were stood down and replaced on all their remaining rides following a jockey room ‘incident’ after the first race at Hollywoodbets Greyville on Monday.
The suspension of both riders was made at the request of the duty Stipes and applies to the current racemeeting only, but can be extended.
The National Horseracing Authority will keep the public informed.
According to Stipendiary Steward Ryan Hutcheson, no details could be divulged to the Sporting Post at this early stage as the incident was subject to a formal inquiry process.
Gold Circle Duty Manager Koda Vadivelu referred our inquiries to the Stipes.
