Melbourne Cup On Tuesday!

TAB’s online betting system will be live and operational from 04h00 tomorrow morning to accommodate punters who want to get in on the Melbourne Cup action.

The race meeting starts at 01:50, while Race 7, the Melbourne Cup, will be run at 06:00.

The last race on the card, race 10, is scheduled to be run at 08:15.

Tellyrack will broadcast Races 5-10 live from Flemington.

There will also be live coverage on Tellytrack of several Australian meetings as normal, including Randwick and Eagle Farm.

Betting details:

TAB pools for Flemington Races 5-10 on Tuesday will open on Monday 4 November;

TAB tote sheets with fields and tips for Flemington will be available in TAB shops and tabonline from Monday morning.

Flemington: RACES 5-10:

Commingled – Win, Place, Exacta, Rolling Double (Races 1-2; 2-3 etc).

SA pools – RACES 7-10: Swinger, Trifecta, Quartet.

  • All bets R1 unit;
  • Rolling Double R2 increments;
  • Commingled pools minimum bet R12 (minimum Eachway Bet = R6 Win, R6 Place = R12);
  • SA pools minimum bet R6.

TABCORP Australia Place Rules:

  • Less than 5 carded = no Place betting;
  • 5-7 carded = payouts FIRST, SECOND;
  • 8 or more carded = payouts FIRST, SECOND, THIRD.

TAB will add R10,000 to the Quartet pool on the Melbourne Cup, Race 7 @ 06:00.
