While we are battling to get folk to our racecourses, the Brits have a different problem.

A mass brawl erupted at Haydock Park on Saturday just before the final race at the prestigious Grand National Trial meeting.

Apparently 40 or 50 people were involved. There are reports of beer and more beer and the action started after one punter bumped another.

The fight follows several similar incidents on British courses in 2018, including a mass brawl at Goodwood’s opening fixture in May.
