Top Yard Could Hold The Ace Today

Local racing at Hollywoodbets Greyville today

Eight races are carded on the polytrack at Hollywoodbets Greyville this afternoon.

The Hollywoodbets Punters Challenge gives you another chance to win your share of R10 000 if you finish in the top 20 on the leader board.

The first is due off at 12h20.

Trainer Paul Peter saddles Graphene Aerogel in Race 2 and she should get it right today. She set the pace in her last start over 1750m at Hollywoodbets Scottsville, but was caught in the shadow of the post by Bell Starbuster.

The daughter of Jackson drops back to the mile and gets the blinkers fitted for the first time. If the headgear has the desired effect, she should find herself in the winner’s enclosure.

Mr Molony from the Garth Puller stable takes his place in Race 6 and he represents decent each way value.

He ran a good race when finishing third over this course and distance last time. He was reported to be not striding out that day which makes the effort that much more encouraging.

It must be noted that the horse that finished second has come out and won since. He is having his peak run and if Calvin Habib is able to switch him off early, he should find himself in the winner’s enclosure.

Kyle Strydom is not riding today.
