Trainer Lucky Houdalakis sends out Dyce in Race 7 and he looks to be the best bet on the programme.
He quickened up well when returning to winning ways in his last start over 1000m on the Turffontein Inside course.
He has won once and finished second twice from four starts on this course. It is encouraging that Piere Strydom retains the ride.
He is the class horse in this race and should take a power of beating.
Samoa from the Bridget Stidolph stable may be the horse to close off the meeting. She finished 0.25 lengths behind Inafix last time.
She is 2.5kgs better off at the weights today and that should be enough for the tables to be turned.
Gavin Lerena retains the ride and a repeat of her last outing should see her involved at the finish.
