Nebraas – The Class Act Today

Local meet starts at 12h00

A nine-race programme is scheduled at Turffontein this afternoon. The first is due off at 12h00 and the lucky last is at 16h30.

Trainer Sean Tarry saddles Nebraas in Race 5 and he is the possible Pick 6 banker.

Nebraas – the standout on today’s card (Pic – Candiese Lenferna)

The son of Vercingetorix won a good race in the Gr3 The Citizen Gold Bowl last time.

Despite hanging from the 250m mark, he fought hard to hold Black Thorn at bay. He has won twice, finished second twice and third once from seven starts on this course.

Nebraas is the class horse in the race and should notch up his seventh career victory.

Irfaans Boy from the Ashley Fortune yard takes his place in Race 8. He finished 3.2 lengths behind Twice As Splendid last time. He is 5kgs better off at the weights today and that should be enough for the tables to be turned.

He shows good speed in his races and may be hard to peg back in the run down to the line.

Kindly note that jockey Francois Herholdt has been stood down today.
