Originally a fully-fledged jockey in Mauritius, where he achieved the title of champion jockey, Iannesh is now completing his apprenticeship at the South African Jockey Academy.

Iannesh shares the challenges and adjustments he’s faced in transitioning to South Africa, the process of earning his jockey’s licence here, and the differences he’s encountered in the racing scene.
