R1 660 000 – Only 8 Winners Away!

First due off @ 12h40

Hollywoodbets Scottsville plays host to today’s local racemeeting. Eight races have been carded for the afternoon with the first due off at 12h40.

The Hollywoodbets Punters’ Challenge has produced great excitement this past week, including at Hollywoodbets Greyville on Thursday where 26 players found 7 out of 7 winners and went into the final race of the day with the prospect of winning R1 480 000, in those cases where the minimum R50 betslip had been activated.

Unfortunately for the 26 players, who had a good spread of horses representing their hopes and dreams, it was Piet Botha’s Baratheon who confirmed his recent feature form with a big run under Tristan Godden to win at 12-1.

Today’s Hollywoodbets Scottsville racemeeting is the last of your 5 chances to win big on the Hollywoodbets Punters’ Challenge this weekend, with no local racing scheduled for Monday.

Today’s Punters Jackpot is currently on an amount of R1,66 million, subject to no further scratchings and you wagering a minimum of R50 on the programatically generated betslip.

Gareth van Zyl - looking to make an impact

Trainer Gareth van Zyl sends out Are You Sure in Race 1(Pic – Chase Liebenberg)

Hollywoodbets-sponsored Trainer Gareth van Zyl sends out Are You Sure in Race 1. She produced a promising debut effort over 1000m on this course.

She lost two lengths leaving the start but the way she finished off her race that day, caught the eye.

The daughter of Futura would have gained from the experience and should love the rise to 1200m. With the natural improvement that is expected, she should be the one to beat.

Zakho from the Alyson Wright stable takes his place in Race 5. He lost a length leaving the start over 1900m on the polytrack last time and stayed on to finish fourth.

The son of Silvano finished third in his only attempt on this course.

He jumps from pole position and with the services of Rachel Venniker, he should notch up his fourth-career victory.

Race: 8 No: 9 TARA STAR had a 217 day break due to recovering from an injury.
