ROA Calls For Nominations As Directors

Deadline is noon on Sunday 15 September

The Racehorse Owners Association has advised that in terms of Clause 14.2.1 of their Memorandum of Incorporation, Garth Towell and Greg Kotzen will retire from office as Directors of the ROA at the close of the next Annual General Meeting.

Being eligible in terms of Clause 14.2.3 of the MOI, Greg Kotzen will be offering himself for re-election and is accordingly deemed to be duly nominated as provided for in Clause 14.3.1 of the MOI. Garth Towell will not be available for re-election.

As required, and in terms of Clause 14.3.1 of the MOI, the ROA calls on Members to nominate and second, by way of completion of a Nomination Form, up to a maximum of two Members for possible election to fill the vacancies as indicated.

As provided for in Clause 14.3.3 (read with Clause 14.1.2) of the MOI, the Board of the ROA will determine the eligibility of any such nominee(s) to be put forward to Members for their consideration at the AGM.

The duly completed Nomination Form, signed by the proposer and the seconder, must be submitted to the ROA, for the  attention of the Financial Manager, by no later than noon on Sunday, 15 September 2024, either by hand or via email to:

Please note that in terms of Clause 14.3.2 of the MOI, nominees will be required to submit their signed acceptance of their nomination by not later than noon on Tuesday 1 October 2024.
