Trainer Justin Snaith sends out Rapidash in the Listed Settlers Trophy. He got up where it matters most when winning his last start over 1800m on this course.

He received a five-pound penalty for that victory. The son of Danon Platina is maturing into a nice horse and could have a good season ahead of him.

Grant van Niekerk retains the ride from barrier three and he may find himself in the winner’s enclosure once again.

Lindbergh from the Brett Crawford stable represents decent each way value in Race 5.

He showed good signs of a form return in his last start over 1600m on this course.

The way he stayed on at the finish that day was encouraging. He won his only attempt over this course and distance.

The son of Lancaster Bomber should strip much fitter and he has cracked a good draw of four.

Winning Form-sponsored Jockey Kabelo Matsunyane is booked to ride and he may be able to coax that little bit extra out of him where it matters most.

  • Gareth Wright (Medically Indisposed)
  • Tristan Godden won’t be riding in Race 1 only (Flight Complications)

The Enchanting Currency Of Fate

It is eerie to think that there would have been no Siren’s Call, Sound Of Warning, or for that matter Call To Unite, had fate not decreed that Enchanted Cove follow her dam to South Africa, and that Peter de Beyer had the foresight to return Elusive Fort back home from the States as well!
