Jockey Strydom pleaded not guilty but was found guilty of the charge.

The Inquiry Board, after considering the mitigating and aggravating factors, as well as taking Jockey Strydom’s recent record of contraventions of Rule 62.2.3 into account, imposed a penalty of a suspension from riding in races for a period of twenty-one (21) days.

Jockey Strydom has the Right of Appeal against both the finding and the penalty imposed.
