In one of the biggest rationalisation moves in recent memory, leading South African owners Adriaan and Rika Van Vuuren have 135 lots going through the ring
“The Greyville track doesn’t look good, but all of our horses have pulled up well. Our horses have in fact had more injuries in other centres than in KZN this season and I have the statistics to prove it.”
Top racehorse owner Adriaan van Vuuren, whose orange-and-black silks were made famous by Triple Crown winner Abashiri, has written on Facebook that he and wife Rika will be leaving the sport of horseracing.
