Birthday smiles for Strydom as Agra cruises in to win the R130 000 Listed Milkwood Stakes
Predictable it may well be but Snaith and Strydom look to be the men to follow again!
The Racing South Africa team are currently processing all manual entries and payments received before doing an internal audit of the competition.
Seven juvenile colts and four fillies make up the field for the first black type race for their age. Assessing their relative merit at this time of the season is hazardous to say the least.
Former USA sire Trippi has his first South African two-year-olds racing this season and was credited with his first winner with his first local runner when filly Agra made a successful debut over 900m at Kenilworth on Saturday.
It is eerie to think that there would have been no Siren’s Call, Sound Of Warning, or for that matter Call To Unite, had fate not decreed that Enchanted Cove follow her dam to South Africa, and that Peter de Beyer had the foresight to return Elusive Fort back home from the States as well!
There’s lots more to play for!
